Miley Cyrus Wedding Rumors: Did Liam Hemsworth's Brothers Talk Him Out Of Marrying Her? (VIDEO)

Did Liam's Brothers Talk Him Out Of Marrying Miley?!

Are Liam Hemsworth's brothers, Chris and Luke, to blame for Liam and Miley's derailed wedding? They are, if you believe the latest rumors.

According to recent reports, Chris and Luke Hemsworth staged an intervention for brother Liam in April, asking him to "end the romance for good."

Some media outlets take that to mean the publicly unstable couple might be off-again, or on their way to calling it quits. To us it just conjures up countless previous rumors regarding the two, who can't seem to catch a break since announcing their engagement a year ago.

Let's recap, shall we?

Last June, Miley Cyrus, then 19, told People magazine, "I'm so happy to be engaged and look forward to a life of happiness with Liam." At the time, the couple were together for three years.

By the end of the month, rumors swirled that the two had secretly tied the knot because of a cryptic tweet from Cyrus and a misinterpreted quote from Hemsworth. At a benefit dinner, the then 22-year-old said, "I was fortunate enough to get called back in to read with my now-fiancée, who I recently got engaged to. And we read together and fell in love and now we're married ... Well, not married yet but we will be."

Just a month later (July 2012), it was rumored that the two wanted to wed quickly so they could start a family. "Miley and Liam really want to have a baby quickly," a source told Us Weekly at the time.

In August, Miley underwent a major change when she chopped off all her hair. Though she was rumored to regret the drastic change, she took to Twitter to defend her decision and added that Liam is a fan of her new look.

For a while there, they seemed to be enjoying some pre-marital bliss. Then in February of this year, the rumor mill struck again. This time, eyewitnesses said they saw Liam getting cozy with someone other than Miley. The actor was said to have cheated on his fiancee with "Mad Men" star January Jones at a pre-Oscar party.

In early March, Miley tweeted "I am so sick of La. And sick of the lies that come with it. I didn't call off my wedding. Taking a break from social media. #draining" in response to the slew of reports.

The next day, she was seen without her engagement ring. Two days later, she was spotted getting into a car with a handsome stranger, again fueling rumors of a breakup. The mystery man was later discovered to be Liam's friend. Liam, at the time, was in Australia.

A mere week later, it was reported that the wedding was off due to Miley's partying ways. "She likes to party really hard and can be pretty wild. It became a problem for him," claimed the New York Post's Page Six.

The next day, counter-reports claimed the couple was struggling with their rocky relationship but had not given up, and were working to stay together. Miley's "insecurities" and "immature" nature were said to be part of the problem. A day later, Miley tweeted an explanation for her missing engagement ring, saying she was having it fixed.

Later that week, Miley got an anatomical heart tattoo, raising questions as to its meaning. Days later, she was said to be in the studio recording a breakup song -- the same day she posted quirky twitpics where she was not only wearing a "onezie" but her engagement ring, as well.

A couple days after that, Liam returned from his vacay in Australia and was seen visiting Miley's house in Los Angeles. The songstress also hinted at a reconciliation (if there was ever real trouble) by changing her Twitter avatar to a close-up featuring her huge engagement ring.

All was peaceful for a while, but that serenity was too good to be true for some. By mid-April, Miley's dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, admitted he wasn't sure the wedding was still on, awkwardly telling ABC News that Miley and Hemsworth were still "friends."

A week later, Miley and Liam were rumored to be heading for a split again. Sources hinted that the two had a big argument, and Miley was spotted sans engagement ring.

A week after that, Miley's interview with ELLE U.K. came out and the singer was quoted saying "We have a house together and dogs. It just seems right to be wearing this ring and to be committed. But we keep our relationship low-key and don't talk about it any more." The same day, she was spotted out on a fro-yo run with her ring back on.

The latest to come out of the Miley-Liam house of fun (prior to reports of an intervention) were Miley's quotes from her cover story with V magazine. To accompany her risque photos in their summer issue, Miley admitted she's still engaged but said that she and Hemsworth have been spending a lot of time apart lately due to their busy schedules and work commitments.

"Every week it's, 'Are they broken up? Because we don't see a photo of them,'" she said. "I don't have time to go to Starbucks with my boyfriend every morning. I wish I did, but I don't."

Until next time, Miley!
