Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s wild address to America’s top military brass in Quantico, Virginia, on Tuesday earned a less-than-glowing review from one of his pals at Fox News.

“The Five” co-host Harold Ford Jr. likened former Fox News personality Hegseth’s speech — in which the top Donald Trump Cabinet member ranted about “fat generals and admirals” and “dudes in dresses” — to something that may happen in a dictatorship.

“I didn’t like the televised part of this because it reminded me of something that might happen in China or North Korea,” admitted Ford, a former Democratic congressman for Tennessee.

“I didn’t mind Secretary Hegseth, whom I know and consider a friend, doing what he did,” he then clarified.

“But I have to say,” said Ford, “if I were an adversary of the United States, and obviously I’m not, but if I was watching this, I’m not convinced that I would be more fearful of the United States, or, for that matter, wanting to be more like them.”
