Beckman, who at his peak was responsible for nearly 80 percent of the company's estimated $2 billion in annual advertising revenue, will relocate from Condé Nast's posh 4 Times Square headquarters to Fairchild's offices at 750 Third Ave. to oversee a group with revenue of around $75 million.
As president of Condé Nast Media, Beckman was responsible for selling ad packages across multiple titles. But that business has dried up as recession-battered advertisers cut spending.

Though Beckman looks as if he was demoted, Condé Nast CEO Charles Townsend spun it differently.
