WATCH: Tom Hanks Drops F-Bomb

Tom Hanks dropped the f-bomb live on Friday's "Good Morning America."

Elizabeth Vargas asked him to demonstrate the accent from his movie "Cloud Atlas." He admitted it would be tricky because "mostly, it's swear words," and well, it was true.

Hanks was shocked by the slip, and apologized profusely. "I'm sorry!" he said. "I slipped into a brand of acting. I have never done that before. I want to apologize to the kids in America that are watching this right now. And let me say, next time I'm on the show there will be a seven-second delay." He joked that the staff was to blame for giving him a hand-held mic.

Later, Hanks apologized to Vargas again via Twitter, writing:
