It’s time to start attaching the term “mogul” to Zoe Saldana’s business card. The Avatar star just signed a deal with Lionsgate Studios to develop and produce Latino-centric media projects.

Zoe will actually be working alongside her sister Cisely for the aptly-named Saldana Production Company. And according to the Hollywood Reporter, their deal includes both TV and feature film opportunities.

The most exciting news is that Zoe and Cisely will seek out material from the Hispanic market. And they are apparently filling in an entire staff of people, starting with a Saldana Productions chief executive.

Lionsgate has actually ventured into Latino territory before. Their Pantelion Films division has released multicultural movies like Hecho en Mexico and Casa de mi Padre.
