Colleen Callahan is the Communications Manager at Feeding America. Through a network of more than 200 food banks and 61,000 local food pantries, kitchens and emergency shelters, Feeding America provides more than 3 billion pounds of food and grocery items to 37 million people each year. Colleen spends her time writing about people struggling with hunger across the U.S. and how the Feeding America network is responding to their needs.
Prior to joining Feeding America Colleen worked in public health communications and spent time studying human rights and communication. She holds BA and MA from the University of Minnesota and currently resides in Chicago.
