Dr. Galit Dayan

Dr. Galit Dayan arrived in Los Angeles from Israel in October 2007. Currently, Dr. Dayan manages her own organizational consulting business, advising hospitals, hi tech companies, and banks. In addition, she teaches management skills at the Sela Group, which is recognized as Israel's leader in the training of high quality internet technology personnel for the thriving and demanding Israeli IT community.

She has previously served as an organizational development advisor for various Israeli organizational consulting groups, including the Effective Group and Momentum; at the latter, she represented the method of author Frank Covey and carried the message of The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People to new Israeli audiences.

From 2001-2003, Dr. Dayan served as head of Coordination for Israel’s Embassy in Washington, D.C. Prior to this, she served for three years as the Project and Events Manager for Israel’s Embassy in Athens, Greece.

Dr. Dayan holds a Ph.D. and Masters in Egyptology from The Hebrew University in Jerusalem, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and received the Bernhard Bloomfield Award for her dissertation. Dr. Dayan also holds a certificate in Organizational Development from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. From 1992-1998, Dr. Dayan served as a lecturer at the Egyptology Department at the Hebrew University.

She served in the Israel Defense Forces in a military intelligence capacity.

Born in Jerusalem, Dr. Dayan is fluent in Hebrew, English, and French, and some Greek. She is joined in Los Angeles by her husband, Consul General of Israel Jacob Dayan, and their three children.
