Jon Lieber

Current SF-based economic policy analyst, former DC-based economic policy advisor. From whitehouse.gov to thumbtack.com.

Jon is an economic policy analyst based in San Francisco, studying trends in entrepreneurship and small businesses for Thumbtack. He previously worked on small business issues at the National Economic Council at the White House, and did a tour of duty as an analyst at the House Ways and Means Committee and as a policy advisor for Senate Leader Mitch McConnell. He is a board member of the Center for American Entrepreneurship, a research organization dedicated to improving the environment for start-ups and entrepreneurs. Jon began his career studying monetary policy at the American Enterprise Institute, and today maintains Thumbtack's annual Small Business Friendliness Survey and their monthly Small Business Economic Sentiment Survey.
