Owner, Sam's Safety Equipment

Kevin Doffing is owner of Sam's Safety Equipment, an industrial supply house and red wing shoe dealer. Kevin is a graduate of Texas A&M, class of ’04 and is a U.S. Army Infantry veteran. The company was founded in 1956 and Kevin came into the business officially in 2009, but has been working in the family business since he could push a broom or wash dishes for $1. Currently as Kevin is co-owner with his father Larry, who has operated the business for the past 30 years.

Since taking over the business Sam’s safety has experienced triple revenue and doubled staffing. Most recently Kevin opened a new Red Wing Shoe Store in Cypress, Texas and purchased a new 24’ box truck to serve as a mobile point of sales for his Red Wing Shoes, commonly known as a Shoe Truck.

Kevin Graduated from the 2nd cohort of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program and is a two time finalist for the Houston West Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
