Lakshmi Balachandra

Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship, Babson College

Lakshmi Balachandra is an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at Babson College and a Fellow at the Women and Public Policy Program at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. She has previously taught at the MIT Sloan School of Management, Northeastern University, Harvard University’s Extension Program in Management, frequently guest lectures at the Harvard Business School and consults to a wide range of companies. Her research has been awarded Fellowships from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation for Entrepreneurship and the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School and intersects Entrepreneurship, Improvisation and Negotiation as she researches how entrepreneurs can successfully negotiate with investors. She has been an entrepreneur, a venture capital investor, and a stand-up/improv comic prior to her life as a researcher and professor.
