Stacey is a writer, admissions expert and the Founder and CEO of College Essay Advisors, an online education company that provides world-class college essay-related products and services to students all over the world. With more than a decade’s worth of experience helping students conceptualize, edit and refine their admissions essays, Stacey has worked with more than a thousand students worldwide to help them stand out in a highly competitive admissions environment and teaches the Supplemental Essay Writing course at nytEducation: The School of The New York Times. 99% of CEA’s students are admitted to at least one of their top three schools and the essays of CEA students have inspired personal emails from admissions officers that acknowledge the essay’s pointed role in a student’s admission. CEA's comprehensive online video course, College Essay Academy, is the first on-demand instructional series focused on demystifying the purpose of and process behind writing the college application essay. It has already been used, with successful results, by hundreds of students in their journey through the admissions process. In addition to her advising work, Stacey's writing has been published in publications like The New Yorker, USA Today and Buzzfeed. She is represented by Rebecca Friedman Literary Agency. Stacey graduated magna cum laude from Boston University where she attended on an academic scholarship, served as the school’s Commencement Speaker and graduated with a degree in Mass Communications.
