Stanley T. Talbert

Minister, student, and activist

Stanley T. Talbert is a M.Div. student, minister, and activist. He currently attends Union Theological Seminary in the city of New York where he focuses on political and liberation theology. Talbert also serves as an assistant minister at the Kings Church of Christ in Brooklyn, NY.

He is a recipient of Union Theological Seminary's "Hutnut Preaching Award" and has be featured for ministry and theological education in "Faith^3: Active in the Head, Heart, and Hand," and the "Pepperdine Magazine." At Kings Church of Christ, Talbert co-facilitates "Know Jesus Know Justice," a spiritually based activist group that seeks to actualize love, justice, and equality in the areas of violence, education, health, economics, and politics.

Talbert was a recent participant of Union's Millennial Leaders Project, where 50 young activist, leaders, and clergy from around the United States were selected to engage social issues from the intersection of spirituality and social justice.
