Steven Polansky’s first book, the story collection Dating Miss Universe, won the Sandstone Prize for Fiction. His short fiction has appeared in The New Yorker, Harper’s, and Best American Short Stories, among other places. He was a college professor for many years and now lives in Wisconsin with his wife and daughter.
