Never one to avoid creating a stir, Anthony Weiner unleashed another head-turning phrase Tuesday night at a debate among Democratic candidates for mayor.

When asked about the state of the city’s economy, the embattled former congressman said that too many "poor people’s jobs" were being created.

“We're creating a lot of restaurant worker jobs and poor people jobs,” Weiner said. “We have to stop that. We have to try to make this a middle class capital again."

Clearly, Weiner meant that he wants the next mayor to help the shrinking middle class, but his awkward response triggered a swift backlash on Twitter:
