WASHINGTON -- Enjoy the cherry blossoms while they last. The pink and white blooms could get washed out as a soggy weather system moves into the region this weekend.
Friday's weather should be perfectly lovely with sunny conditions and temperatures expected to head into the high 70s and low 80s. But it'll be turning rainy and cooler heading into the weekend as a massive low pressure system pushes out the massive heat dome that has set record temperatures across the nation.
Capital Weather Gang suggests that Saturday may be ideal "for some indoor spring cleaning," with rain moving in and remaining in the area through Sunday.
So if you want to see the blossoms before they turn into a soggy mess, today is the day to do it. And if you didn't get a chance to see the pink and white floral wonders in person, peruse our slideshow below.
