We saw the Democratic Senate primary taken over by an explosive New York Times story that has changed the face of last final days of the race. Republican Gubernatorial candidate drew national attention be asserting that Denver's bike-sharing program is a sign of an international plot to turn Denver into a United Nations community.

Meanwhile, the injury bug bit the Broncos in a big way when start linebacker Elvis Dumervil tore a pectoral muscle. The injury will likely keep him out for most of the season.
