"Dallas" (Wed., 9 p.m. ET on TNT) debuted on TNT Wednesday night with a two-hour series premiere packed full of the stetsons, scheming and sketchy morals that long-time fans have been craving.
And of course, there was amoral oil baron J.R. Ewing (Larry Hagman) at front and center. But did he show a softer, more penitent side to his character?
Upon glimpsing his ex-wife Sue Ellen (Linda Gray) at -- where else? -- the Cattle Barons' Ball, he decided that he owed her an apology.
Taking Sue Ellen by surprise J.R. said admiringly, "Look at you. Look at me. You won, honey. And I couldn't be happier." Piling on the compliments he told her, "You are still the prettiest girl at the ball."
TNT's continuation of "Dallas" continues Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. ET on TNT.
