Comic Artists' Perfect Tributes To Philip Seymour Hoffman Celebrate His Career In Art

Famous Comic Artists Pay Tribute To Philip Seymour Hoffman

Many actors took to Twitter to express shock and sadness at the passing of Philip Seymour Hoffman. But this ode to the tremendous actor by noted comic artist Daniel Clowes really left a mark.

The collage of images revisits the comic art made for PSH projects, including the artwork for indie films "Happiness" (by Clowes) and "Savages" (by Chris Ware) along with a portrait from Hoffman's interview in The Believer magazine (by Charles Burns).

Clowes posted the tribute Sunday, the day the actor was discovered dead in his Manhattan apartment at 46-years-old.

See more of Clowes' work below and read an earlier interview with the artist here.
