WASHINGTON -- Given how expensive normal houses are in the D.C. area, The Huffington Post was wondering what you could get if you were ready to shell out the big bucks.

And wow, look at all these residential show-stoppers!

If you're looking for a place with 20,000 square feet and a McLean address, now is the time to act. Also in McLean is Ted Kennedy's old house going for nearly $10 million.

Then there's a four-bedroom house in Old Town Alexandria is selling for more than $5.85 million -- just under $1.5 million per bedroom! The gardens are spectacular and it has a carriage house, too.

In Falls Church, you could have a lakeside house -- with a pool and stunning views -- is just under $5 million.

Over in Georgetown, a mansion formerly part of the Evermay Estate is on the market for $18 million. We find it hard to choose between that and the $5.9 million woodsy contemporary in Bethesda with the salt-water lap pool.

Which of these would you spend your millions upon millions on?
