Jon Stewart: 'Campaign Obama Is Back!'

On Monday night's "Daily Show," Jon Stewart took on President Obama's American Jobs Act, and rejoiced at the realization that Campaign Obama, the roll-up-your-sleeves problem solver we elected, has finally returned after three years. He also proposed a way we can keep him around forever -- convert America to a "Campaign-based economy."

First, Stewart took his time mocking the generic-sounding name of Obama's plan as well as the GOP's reaction to it, and then moved on to what really caught his attention: last week's rousing speech and firey rally signifying the return of Campaign Obama.

"I remember that guy!" Stewart said. "Campaign Obama is back! So much cooler than Governing Obama."

And it's not just the President who's become more inspirational with the start of the 2012 campaign -- his opponents are also promising to remake America on bus tours to the nation's delight. So why not embrace the campaign-driven drivel Stewart calls "America's greatest resource" and convert our country to a campaign-based economy?

"We're number one... in aspiring political leaders telling us how great we are," Stewart said.

Watch the full clip below to hear Stewart explain just how this would work. You know, it's so easy to overlook how much money can be raised when you employ people to stand behind politicians during their speeches. It's a goldmine!
