Kris Humphries Seems Worried About His Career

Kris Humphries is ready to move forward. Don't believe him? Well he said it about 15 times during his interview with "Good Morning America" this morning.

The soon-to-be ex-Mr. Kim Kardashian broke his silence for first time since Kim filed for divorce on Oct. 31.

The 26-year-old basketball player's interview revealed a lot of things -- namely he is concerned with finding a job.

Humphries' contract with the New York Nets was not renewed at the end of last season and it seems he is worried that the NBA may think he's distracted by all the drama surrounding his divorce.

Humphries used the interview as an opportunity to reiterate that he's completely focused on basketball. While "Good Morning America" only wanted to know about life after Kim, the althete struggled to direct the conversation away from the only thing anyone actually wants to know about.

He admits that life has been "different" without Kim, but says he's "just focused on family and preparing for basketball."

"Basketball is something I take really seriously and I continue to do that," he said. "You know. I'm just moving forward."

Come on Kris, tell us what we want to know. Like what did you think when Kim filed for divorce after 72 days of marriage?

Humphries told the show, "For me it's just that certain things happen in life and you've got to move forward, so I'm excited to be where I am right now with the NBA season coming up, and I'm ready to go."

Umm, ok, you already said that. But tell us why did you file for both a legal separation and an annulment?

"I'm not focused on that. I'm focused on basketball and other things will take care of themselves," he told "GMA," adding that it's a great day for the NBA and most (read: employed) players start camp this afternoon. "Hopefully I'll be on a team soon," he said.

The interview was endlessly repetitive and Humphries used it as a shout-out to NBA team owners and coaches telling them: if you are listening, Kris Humphries wants you to know he has his head in the game and oh, he has a foundation dedicated to addressing the issue of childhood obesity -- though we have never heard him talk about it before.

The only thing we learned from the interview that pertains to the Kardashian drama is that the athlete claims he doesn't watch the reality show and isn't worried about his image.

"If people know me and know who I am and what I stand for, they know I love to give back and I'ma fun guy and I don't really play into all the gossip," he said.
