As far as “cool moms” go, Lacey Chabert has pretty much got it covered.

Not only is the “Mean Girls” star headlining her ninth (yes, ninth!) movie for the Hallmark Channel later this month, but she’s also finding the delicate balance between being a working actress and taking care of a new baby girl at home.

After a brief career break, Chabert is back with the romantic TV movie comedy “Moonlight in Vermont,” her first project since welcoming her first child, Julia Mimi Bella, with husband David Nehdar in September.

Ask any mother in Hollywood, and they’ll tell you raising a child in the spotlight can be far from fetch at times, but Chabert says she struggles just like every other mom to make the right choices that work for her family.

“It was a little daunting because she’s only four months old and not sleeping through the night,” Chabert told The Huffington Post about returning to work during a recent Build Series interview. “I’m obsessed with her and I don’t want to be away from her for two seconds.”

“I feel like a lot of moms can probably relate to the guilt of being away from [their children],” she continued. “How do I balance all of it? Am I making the right choice?”

For Chabert, “Moonlight in Vermont” was the perfect excuse to step back into the acting world. Not only does she get to fall in love with a hunky chef ― only on screen, of course ― but the actress also wanted to set an example for her newborn that she can do anything she sets her mind to.

Going back to work made the 34-year-old actress feel “whole” again — and that’s the lesson she wants to impart her daughter.

“It’s hard and it’s a lot to juggle, but I want to set that example for her that you can pursue your dreams,” she said. “This is my dream. I’ve been doing this since I was a kid and I’ve been blessed to work and be a working actor and there’s not a day that goes by that I’m not thankful for that, but my priorities have definitely shifted.”
