Obamacare Supreme Court Decision: Illinois Politicians React To Ruling (TWEETS)

Illinois Reacts To Supreme Court's Health Care Ruling

The Supreme Court's Thursday morning ruling that upheld President Barack Obama's health care law has, expectedly, lit up the Internet with reactions that run the gamut from celebration to threats of defection.

The court's upholding of the Obama plan's individual insurance mandate -- thanks to a ruling where Chief Justice John Roberts provided a crucial swing vote -- was of particular issue for critics of the Affordable Care Act.

Illinois politicians took to Twitter to voice their opinions. Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel said Obama's plan as "necessary to bend the needle of history." Tea Party-affiliated Congressman Joe Walsh (R-Ill.) commented that the insurance requirement is "unacceptable."

Read more reactions below, which don't include Republican Congressman Aaron Schock's swiftly-deleted, inaccurate tweet that the Supreme Court actually ruled the Obama plan unconstitutional.
