Not only was traffic bad, there was also major event "gridlock" last night. Midtown was packed with holiday revelers celebrating the lighting of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree and across town celebrities and New York socialites were at various parties getting into the spirit of the season.

Natalie Portman looked gorgeous at The Black Swan premiere (shocker) and Blake Lively got a chance to chat with Christian Louboutin about her recent sample sale purchases at the 24th Annual Footwear News Achievement Awards at the MOMA.

Elsewhere, 90s musician odd-couple Ben Folds and Mark Hoppus from Blink 182 performed holiday favorites at the Fuse studio while Ben Harper, Dhani Harrison and Joseph Arthur attended the 2010 UNICEF Snowflake Ball.
