As the first day of spring approaches, summer finally seems like a not-too-distant desire. If you live or visit Chicago's North Shore, the Ravinia festival is a summer staple.

Ravinia, where thousands flock with their picnic baskets and blankets to hear live music outside, announced its summer 2011 lineup this week.

Their non-classical lineup includes modern pop stars, classic rockers and 80's legends.
