Selena Gomez Granted Restraining Order After Receiving Death Threat

Selena Gomez In 'Extreme Fear,' Granted Temporary Restraining Order

Justin Bieber may be the leading man in Selena Gomez's life, but unfortunately, he's not the only guy obsessing over her. Police have granted 19-year-old singer-actress Selena Gomez a temporary restraining order after a 46-year-old man with a history of mental illness and a criminal record of stalking threatened to kill her, according to the Associated Press. Selena says she is in "extreme fear" that he will carry out his death threat if he isn't stopped.

Selena's stalker, Thomas Brodnicki, become obsessed with Selena and allegedly told his shrink he was going to kill the "Love You Like A Love Song" singer. According to TMZ, Brodnicki traveled from Chicago to L.A. to meet Selena and visited her workplace at least three times.

And sadly, this is not the first death threat Selena's gotten (although it's the far more serious than the ones she's received in the past). After posting photos of herself kissing JB while on a romantic Caribbean getaway, Selena received death threats from die-hard Beliebers via Twitter.

But Selena's loyal fans have got her back -- and they're letting the world know that they won't let anything bad happen to her! In a massive show of support they took to Twitter yesterday, trending #WeProtectSelena.
