Seth Meyers Hits Back At Trump's Personal Attack With An Embarrassing Reality Check

The "Late Night" host reminded the president why he "can't get mad a second time."

Seth Meyers on Monday responded to Donald Trump for his “thoughtful piece of fan mail,” after the president slammed the “Late Night” host’s “uncontrollable rage” that was apparently on display in a rerun episode.

On Saturday, Trump posted a message to Truth Social that suggested NBC should fire Meyers “IMMEDIATELY” following an episode that was “viewed last night.”

Meyers said he was “confused as to what set Trump off this time.” Trump has recently attacked Meyers over a joke he made about the president’s complaints regarding catapults on U.S. Navy aircraft carriers.

“Well, he posted on Saturday and referred to last night which means it was probably something I said on Friday but our Friday show was a repeat. Which repeat? The catapult show,” Meyers said. “So, it was the catapults again!”

Meyers emphasized that the president “can’t get mad a second time for the same thing when it’s in a repeat” episode.

“That would be like Rachel getting mad at Ross for cheating on her every time someone watched that episode on streaming,” Meyers quipped. “And in his defense, he thought they were on a break!”
