Conan O'Brien's new talk show could be very different from its predecessor, according to newly released details of his TBS contract.

Apparently, cable network executives thought they were hiring another Conan -- the hero of 1982's cult classic Conan the Barbarian.

"We've always had great ratings with the movie," said a TBS official. "So it seemed logical to try it in talk show format."

Under terms of the contract, the new show will be set in a mythical ancient kingdom and will feature nightly sword battles between a shirtless, steroid-pumped Conan O'Brien and various celebrities and musical guests.

O'Brien was unavailable for comment.
