Tom Tancredo Outraising Dan Maes Four-To-One

After roughly one month as the American Constitution Party's nominee for Governor of Colorado, Tom Tancredo raised nearly four times as much money as his Republican opponent, Dan Maes.

Tancredo entered the race as the Consitutution Party's candidate in late July after both Maes and his opponent for the Republican nomination, Scott McInnis, refused to drop out of the race.

Since that time Tancredo, a conservative firebrand who once ran for the GOP nomination for president, has raised nearly $200,000.

Maes, who last week lost the support of most influential Colorado Republicans, has raised just $50,201.16. He begins September with only $19,786 cash on hand compared to Tancredo's $141,028.

Democratic nominee John Hickenlooper raised $411,295.95over the same period.
