'Uncaged With Sasquatch,' Brian Wilson's Show, Premieres (VIDEO)

Injured Giants pitcher Brian Wilson has certainly been keeping himself busy while on the disabled list.

Two weeks after appearing at the ESPY Awards with a seven-foot sasquatch as his guest, Wilson premiered his mini web series "Uncaged with Sasquatch" on Break Media.

The series is a mock public access talk show ("Painting with Cats: Modern Masterpieces" appears as the next program on the faux schedule), and clearly borrowed inspiration from Zach Galifianakis's "Between Two Ferns." (Wilson and sasquatch are literally sitting between two ferns.)

In the two-minute inaugural episode, which premiered on Monday, Sasquatch asked Wilson about his fears.

"I'm more of less afraid of fear," replied Wilson. "So I guess I fear fear. Makes sense."

Wilson then answered a personal call on set, prompting a violent outburst from his host.

Monday's premiere was the first of five episodes, which will roll out every Monday. According to Break Media Senior Vice President and General Manager Mitch Rotter, much of the show features Wilson's own improvisation.

"We first approached Brian with the idea and he was very, very into it. Beyond into it," Rotter told The Huffington Post. "In fact, the day after his Tommy John surgery, a week after we'd discussed the idea, he tweeted a photoshopped picture of him and sasquatch. And taking sasquatch to the ESPYS was his idea."

Rotter told HuffPost that Wilson originally rejected some of the script ideas, substituting a few of his own.

"We had some concepts revolving around his beard and ninja stuff: concepts that Brian is famous for," said Rotter. "But he said 'you know I've done the ninja stuff before, I think it's time I graduate to a samurai.'"

Thus, in the next episode, airing Monday, Samurai Wilson will be revealed.

"The show ended up being pretty weird," said Rotter. "Which is exactly what Brian was going for."
