U.S. District Judge Victor Marrero said the right to vote is "too vital a value in our democracy to be left in a state of suspense in the minds of voters weeks before a presidential election."

The judge said he cannot endorse such a “categorical and limitless assertion of presidential immunity from judicial process.”

The president sued to block his accounting firm from handing over his records in a criminal probe.
