G. Edward Hughes is a 40-year veteran in higher education serving as a faculty member and administrator in community colleges and universities in Tennessee, New York, Arkansas, Kentucky and Illinois. He is known as an innovative educational and community leader and has led state, regional and national associations in the community college sector. With 28 years as CEO, he served as president of Hazard Community and Technical College (KY) and is currently the founding president /CEO of Gateway Community and Technical College in Northern Kentucky.
