Katie Wetherbee

A former special education teacher, Katie Wetherbee has always loved helping kids learn. However, her experiences as a mother ignited her passion for helping families affected by disabilities thrive at home, school and church. Her writing has appeared on the MOPS International and Power of Moms blogs, as well as in Northeast Ohio Family, Children’s Ministry and K! Magazines. Katie is currently working on a book, Every Child Welcome (Kregel Publishing), and serves on the special needs curriculum team for Heartshapers (Standard Publishing).

In addition to writing, Katie works as an educational and ministry consultant, and enjoys speaking at local and national conferences. While she loves to travel, her favorite place in the world is home. Katie and her husband, Tom, live in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, with their two children, and their quirky hound named Mitzie.
