Lisa Gungor

Songwriter, musician, other half of musical collective "Gungor," traveler, donut enthusiast

Lisa Gungor has been scribbling and writing since she was young. Born into a family of athletes and desperately trying to follow suit, she was always an artist at heart—painting, drawing, designing, writing. She studied art in college and has been making music and art ever since. In 2005, she began recording and traveling with the band that eventually turned into the Grammy-nominated musical collective simply known as “Gungor.” Lisa now lives in Los Angeles with her husband and their two beautiful and wild girls, Amelie and Lucie. She continues to write for Gungor, for the Storyline blog, for The Liturgists and has contributed to a handful of other publications. She is also terrified of zombies and contemplating building a bunker in her backyard in case of the zombie apocalypse.
