Mark Takano served as a High School teacher and as a Riverside Community College District Board of Trustee for more than twenty years. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 2012 and represents the people of Riverside, Moreno Valley, Jurupa Valley and Perris. He serves on the House Veterans' Affairs Committee and the House Education and Workforce Committee.
