Matthew Vines

President, The Reformation Project

Matthew Vines is the president and executive director of The Reformation Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to training LGBT Christians and their allies to reform church teaching on sexual orientation and gender identity. He attended Harvard University from 2008 to 2010, before taking a leave of absence in order to undertake research about the Bible and homosexuality. In March 2012, he delivered a speech at a church in his hometown in Wichita, Kansas arguing for the acceptance of gay Christians and their marriage relationships. Since posting the video of the speech on YouTube, it's now been seen half a million times, and it was featured in The New York Times last fall.

Matthew is currently writing his first book, to be released by Crown/Random House in early 2014. You can follow him on YouTube, Facebook, or Twitter. His personal website is www.matthewvines.com.
