Wendy Drexler

Wendy Drexler, Ph.D., is director of online development for continuing education at Brown University in Providence, R.I. She oversees online course development and delivery at the Ivy League institution, including open online courses such as “Exploring Engineering” on Canvas Network. She is a champion for the effective integration of technology in K-12, higher education, and corporate settings. Before earning her doctorate in educational technology, Wendy managed e-learning design teams at IBM and AT&T. She remains an active member of the National Association of Independent Schools 21st Century Task Force. Her research interests include student construction of personal learning environments, balancing teacher control and student autonomy, and the processes that support networked learning.
