Executive Director, Callen-Lorde Community Health Center. Healthcare geek, queer parent, LGBTQ advocate

Wendy Stark is the Executive Director of Callen-Lorde Community Health Center, New York City’s leading primary health care center targeted to LGBT people, people living with HIV/AIDS, and the uninsured. She joined the staff in 1994 and rose through the ranks of the organization and was appointed Executive Director in 2007. She left to join Lutheran Family Health Centers in July 2012, where she served as Senior Vice President for Special Populations & Administration.

In 2015 Callen-Lorde’s Board of Directors recruited Wendy back to the position of Executive Director for her second tour of duty. She has returned to a much larger organization, providing 80,000 patient visits per year in two clinical sites in Chelsea and with an annual budget of over $50 million.
