WASHINGTON -- How do you afford your rock-and-roll lifestyle? Can you afford your rock-and-roll lifestyle? Maybe.
Maybe your rock-and-roll lifestyle would be a little better with free tickets for a year of concerts at one of D.C.'s finest rock-and-roll clubs. The 9:30 Club is in the midst of its annual charity raffle.
For $5, a donation of new or clean previously used clothes or a canned food item, anyone will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win two tickets for every 9:30 Club show in 2013. You can also purchase up to 10 tickets a day at the 9:30 Club box office.
All proceeds from the 11th annual raffle will go toward the D.C. Central Kitchen, Sasha Bruce Youthwork, Capital Area Food Bank, House of Ruth, So Others Might Eat and Bread for the City.
If you don't win the golden ticket, don't fret, there are also some great prizes from Cava Mezze, Palace 5ive, Chix, Balance, Kind Healthy Snacks, Masa 14, Sweet Green, Dangerously Delicious Pies and Zipcar.
The raffle continues through Dec. 31. The drawing will take place at the Drive-By Truckers New Year's Eve show. The winner does not have to be present to win.
