Adults vs. Teens: The Different Ways We Use Social Media

Teens and adults differ on a number of things, and social media is no different. According to a few recent studies by the Pew Research Center, adults and teens are split on which social networks they like to use. For example, way more teens use Facebook than adults do. Teens are also big fans of Twitter, while adults are bigger fans of Pinterest, Instagram and Tumblr.

Not surprisingly, more teens are on social media than adults, although the data suggests that teens are more interested in the more established social networks than new networks like Tumblr and Instagram, which is surprising. Interestingly, it seems as though adults in their 20s are more likely to be on social media than teens. This recent study also shows that teens are more likely to ask for advice when it comes to their online privacy.
