NORTH HOLLYWOOD -- Police say an intoxicated man crashed his speeding car through the plate-glass window of a North Hollywood restaurant and injured three people.

It happened at Tom's Burgers, 5571 N. Cahuenga Blvd., at 11:36 a.m. Monday.

The three customers -- a family of two adults and a child -- were sitting in a booth inside the restaurant when the car hit the side of the building, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
