'Arrow': Oliver Figures Out What The Symbol On His Father's Book Is, Connecting Everything (VIDEO)

The latest episode of "Arrow" saw the emerald archer finally figure out what the symbol on his father's notebook was referring to. It came at the end of the episode after he'd saved one Roy Harper from execution in the old subway tunnels. He noticed that Felicity's map of the subway lines was the same as that symbol.

"It was right in front of our faces the entire time," Oliver said. "My father, the other archer, the undertaking. Whatever the plan is, it’s all connected the The Glades."

Everything they'd been doing is connected to this poor community within Starling City. What that connection means remains to be seen, but ScreenCrush wrote, "If nothing else, the reveal of the Glades’ relation to Oliver’s notebook should give the series a stronger focus heading into the final hours of the season."

Entertainment Weekly had just two words for the big reveal: "bum bum." They were more enthusiastic by the first meeting between Roy and Oliver, writing, "The non-verbal cues they trade back and forth — a partnership foreshadowed or wishful thinking?"
