A University of Alabama student from Dallas is among the victims of the devastating storms that struck Alabama this week.

Ashley Harrison, 22, was due to graduate the university in several weeks. She was an economics major at the school.

According to Fox 4, Harrison's body was found 100 yards a way from a Tuscaloosa home in which she and her boyfriend tried to ride out the tornado.

The Dallas Morning News reports that Harrison was filled with ambition and wanted to become a lawyer.

The Wednesday storms pummeled Tuscaloosa, a college town of about 210,000. The University of Alabama canceled final exams and commencement as a result of the damage.
