Bill & Melinda Gates: How To Give Away $60 Billion
|

The world's richest couple and most generous philanthropists Bill and Melinda Gates appeared on CBS 60 Minutes Sunday to answer a question that crosses few of even the most charitably inclined minds: How do you spend $60 billion to help the world?

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has a plethora of issues in which to invest. It recently made a host of domestic commitments, particularly to education but globally the organization is focused on eradicating HIV/AIDS, malaria, and mother-and-child deaths, with a focus on crisis zones where all three issues are prevalent.

The notoriously media-shy Melinda Gates agreed to take correspondent Scott Pelley with her on a trip to the north of India, where her foundation's investment could make a night-and-day difference for the neglected population.
