Life-long Cubs fan Bill Murray offered advice to the beleaguered ballclub in an interview with the Tribune:
"I think they're going to put more left-handed hitters in their line-up. I think [manager Lou Piniella] will put [Mark] DeRosa in right. I think he's very disappointed in [Kosuke] Fukudome. I think he's gonna play [Mike] Fontenot. I think he might try [Felix] Pie in center."
The two game hole the Cubs dug for themselves was the result of home field pressure, Murray said, and may be easier to play out of away from the Wrigley glare.
"[T]he Cubs will be looser and free. When you have nothing to lose, you just let it fly. [..] So, you win two and you come back to Chicago--so then [the Dodgers] feel like they're choking."
