Fox News host Bill O'Reilly on Wednesday night claimed the Black Lives Matter movement was responsible for killing Americans.
"The O'Reilly Factor" host pointed to rising murder rates in some of the country's larger cities and blamed the so-called "Ferguson Effect," a term used to describe how the attention on excessive force by police has allegedly made officers less aggressive in pursuing crimes.
"Thousands more Americans are being murdered because police are being more passive since the Ferguson situation and the Black Lives Matter protests," he said.
O'Reilly also blamed black teens for much of the increase in crime as well as a "violent subculture within the African-American community."
