Bill O'Reilly Declares Victory Over Media

Bill O'Reilly Declares Victory Over Media

Bill O'Reilly appeared on "Media Buzz" on Sunday and declared victory over the media, saying that they have given up on trying to take him down.

"At first they tried [mainstream media] to destroy me," he told host Howard Kurtz. "They couldn't. They failed."

He told Kurtz that the reason so many other network shows invite him on is because he always brings "success."

"I bring ratings to those shows," he continued. "When I go on Letterman or I go on the morning shows, their ratings go up. That's why they have me on."

With Jon Stewart, however, O'Reilly has a slightly different intention.

"I go on his show just to amuse myself, just to smack him around here and there," he said. "Because who else is going to do that [other] than me?"
