What do David Lynch and Paul McCartney have in common? They're both devoted practitioners of Transcendental Meditation, and they both have a fan in Bill O'Reilly.
On Wednesday night's The O'Reilly Factor, O'Reilly said that he recently bumped into Paul McCartney at a black-tie event, and couldn't help but gush to the former Beatle about his work supporting the David Lynch Foundation, a non-profit organization created by director David Lynch to bring free Transcendental Meditation lessons to underserved populations. The Foundation has brought TM to groups including inner city schoolchildren, battered women and children, and veterans with PTSD.
"I told Paul McCartney that I appreciated [his 2009] benefit performance, because TM helps these children... it calms them down," said O'Reilly. "In fact, the tip of the day -- the David Lynch Foundation is very worthy."
