The 2013 Coachella lineup has been announced and the Tumblrs expressing confusion as to its contents have already launched. But before you go scrambling for those pricey tickets, remember this: Lots of these artists end up playing in the Bay Area right around the same time, especially now that Coachella has solidified the whole two consecutive weekend concept.
While many artists have yet to announce their spring touring schedules (and some have big gaps right after Coachella), others have already officially slotted their time in the Bay Area. Ready to mark those calendars? Here are shows where you can get a taste of the Coachella experience without the heatstroke and faux hippies -- and you can bet that more announcements will be coming soon.
Of course, there's another alternative to enjoying Coachella without leaving the limits of the Bay Area. Stream the festival via its YouTube channel on your couch and call it Couchella.
