We love crop tops, but that doesn't mean they don't look awkward sometimes -- even on the typically stylish bodies of Salma Hayek, Sarah Jessica Parker and Demi Moore.
To this day, thinking about midriff-revealing tops conjures up images of '90s pop stars like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Lopez performing in belly shirts, cropped athletic jerseys and sporty bralets. (Perhaps the look had a practical purpose -- those girls did a lot of dancing on stage.)
But, while they live in a nostalgic place in our hearts looking back at these photos can be scary. Did we really idolize these outfits in the '80s, '90s and aughts?
